Sniper is a 1993 action film that centers around Master Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Beckett (Berenger), an experienced sniper in the United States Marine Corps who is sent on a mission to assassinate a Panamanian General.

Since its release on January 29, 1993, there have been eight sequels produced, with a ninth headed into production in the fall of 2022.
