KAFKA

1991

Kafka is a 1991 mystery thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh, and starring Jeremy Irons.

The biopic centers around the life of renowned writer Franz Kafka, the blurring the boundaries between reality and Kafka's own fictional works, notably The Castle and The Trial.

Released in the United States on December 4, 1991 and considered a box office disappointment, Kafka later became known as a cult classic, often compared to Terry Gilliam's Brazil and David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch.
