Good Morning, Vietnam is a 1987 war comedy written by directed by Barry Levinson.

Set in 1965 Saigon amidst the backdrop of the Vietnam War, the movie features Robin Williams as a radio DJ serving on the Armed Forces Radio Service. His unconventional and irreverent style makes him immensely popular among the troops, but it also sparks frustration among his superiors.

Released by Buena Vista Pictures, under the Touchstone Pictures banner, the movie achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. Robin Williams' portrayal earned him a Golden Globe Award, and he received nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award.

In 2000, the film secured a spot on the American Film Institute's "100 Years...100 Laughs" list, a compilation of the 100 funniest movies in American cinema.
