AN AMERICAN NEO-NOIR ANTHOLOGY set in somber Los Angeles, after World War II and prior to the election of president John F. Kennedy.
FALLEN ANGELS
1993-1996
Fallen Angels is a neo-noir anthology television series that ran from 1993 to 1995 on Showtime and was produced by Propaganda Films, and executive produced by Sydney Pollack.
Set in a melancholic post-World War II Los Angeles, predating John F. Kennedy's presidency, the series, despite being filmed in color, artfully emulated the brooding essence of 1940s and 1950s film noir, capturing its tone, aesthetics, and narrative essence.
A handful of episodes were directed by notable actors, such as Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, and Kiefer Sutherland.
